Farming Simulator 22: Developer console (Console commands)
In the Farming Simulator 22 there will be American and European environments that will allow you to further expand and develop your farm. You’ll be introduced to a lot of exciting new farming possibilities, including new machinery, crops, cotton, and oats. You can tend to your pigs, cows, sheep, and chickens, as well as ride your horses and explore the land on your farm in new ways!
FS22 console commands (developer console)
Here’s what to do:
- Open Documents > My Games > Farming Simulator 2022.
- Open the file names game.xml with the Notepad.
- At the bottom, find the developer line. Under it, you’ll see controls. Change false to true if needed.
- Launch the game.
- Press F2 to see how much FPS you have.
- Type enableframeratelimit false to turn off the 60 FPS cap.
The console has two modes and it can be activated/toggled using the tilde key. This key is normally placed to the left of the 1 key and above the tab key. Keep in mind, though, that depending on the keyboard layout, it might be in another place.
The first more of the console: reading mode. Keep in mind that the PageUp and PageDown keys will scroll up and down in the console lines.
The second mode of the console: the command mode. This is the place where you type commands, for example, the quit command. You might want to use it to quickly turn off the game if something goes wrong while loading the map or a mod.
If you press the tilde key three times, your console will close.
What are some useful console commands?
Try these:
- q
- quit
- exit
- showFps < true | false >
- gsSetDayTime <hour>,<fraction>
- gsToggleFlightAndNoHUDMode
- gsDrawGuiHelper <false | decimal-value>
- gsSetFOV <integer-value>
- listResources
You can find a lot of other console commands by pressing the tab key.
For the development controls, some function keys toggle special rendering and/or texts on the screen:
- F2 = FPS / frames-per-second display.
- F4 = wireframe mode.
- F5 = two modes: 1. Collision-/Trigger-/Wheels-wireframes, and 2. Light-wireframes.
- F8 = various tech statistics.
Once you enable gsToggleFlightAndNoHUDMode, use these letter keys:
- J – this will enable and/or disable the flight of the avatar.
- Q / E – this will increase and/or decrease the flight of the avatar when it’s not in a vehicle. If you hold SHIFT, it moves faster.
- Q – this hides and/or shows HUD. It includes a helpbox, clock, and panel bars for your vehicle/money.
And that’s all! I hope this was helpful to you and if you have questions, ask away.
