Farming Simulator 22: New free DLC
Farming Simulator 22: New free DLC
Have you downloaded the free Precision Farming DLC for Farming Simulator 19? If not, try it out! When released last December, we added some smart farming technology to the game. But, that was only the beginning. You’ll be able to keep lowering the environmental footprint on your virtual farm in the near future!
More Precision Farming coming to Farming Simulator 22
The “Precision Farming Project” continues with a new and improved DLC for Farming Simulator 22. Including the initial versions features like soil types, soil sampling, variable rate applications and economic analysis, the focus of the new DLC will go further.
Advanced precision farming technologies will be implemented: To increase the sustainability of your farms, optical sensors will be introduced. Thus, allowing a reduced application of herbicides as well as organic and mineral fertilizers.
We’ll go further into detail and look at the new features and improvements later. As you know, we’re currently working hard to bring you Farming Simulator 22 on November 22nd.
Successful project is growing bigger
The first version of the Precision Farming DLC for Farming Simulator 19 was a great success, and was downloaded one million times world-wide on PC and consoles. If you missed the news on the initial Precision Farming DLC, here’s what you should know:
Initiated in 2020 by John Deere and funded by EIT Food, Europe’s leading Food Innovation Initiative, the projects’ goal is to provide knowledge regarding sustainable farming technology. Implementing Precision Farming in Farming Simulator is one of EITs steps to increase awareness.
Besides EIT Food and John Deere, various partners from the European Union are also part of the project: The University of Hohenheim (Germany), the University of Reading (Great Britain), and Grupo AN (the largest cereal cooperative in Spain). New to the table this year is the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research from the Polish Academy of Sciences to promote the technology among young farmers in Eastern Europe.
Free DLC releases next Spring – more at FarmCon
The above-mentioned partners are key to the continuation of the project. The first DLC was evaluated thoroughly by agricultural experts, students, farmers and others. Of course, player feedback was an important factor when deciding on how to advance the project. That’s why you can also expect some improvements to the already existing features based upon your feedback.
While we’re focused on the upcoming release of Farming Simulator 22 on November 22nd, the new version of the Precision Farming DLC is scheduled to release in the Spring of 2022. All owners of Farming Simulator 22 on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be able to download it for free.
More info about the project will be shared at FarmCon on July 21st, streamed on the official Twitch channel from July 21st to July 23rd. Tune in!

SPRING 22? The game its not so good as i thought it would be
many issues. these things are not even build in wich is also strange. there is no option to remove silos or animal pens if you want to replace or redirect them or just get rid off, all other it seems you just have been working on the new UI wich i just like others find very cartoony and not realistic anymore.
for next couple of months or even year me and other farmers stay at FS19 as this game sucks for now. needs many improvement for sure
Spring 22: Yes, it takes a while to develop. Not everything is instant.
Not built in: Yes, because not everyone would want the DLC so having it optional reduces game download time.
No option to remove: Yes, there is, as long as you own the land. Typically the farm decorations sell for $0 since they’re map-built.
New UI “Not realistic”: Is there really any way a UI can be “realistic”? Could just be me, but my life doesn’t have a UI. And they haven’t “just been working on the UI”. Keep in mind the detailed models, scripts, sounds/soundtracks, etc. They’ve been working on FS22 for years.
Also, keep in mind that you sent this ONE DAY after the game was released, while FS19’s PF DLC came months after the game’s release.
yes you can sell placeables, there is a youtube video about it
bro chill its not bad at all
It’s good and bad, mostly bad at the mo,.
Graphics, mostly poor, looks like a painting, expected better to honest, movement of trees grass etc nothing moves very weird, models of equipment look amazing but that’s about it.
Environment…empty, looks like a ghost town, huge road network with 2 cars on them, which incredibly always smash straight into you at junctions (they just don’t stop)
Camera angle when behind when driving is terrible, it’s all over the place.
And god only knows how someone new to the game is meant to learn, there is zero help.
Bugs and glitches everywhere which is just wrong when they’ve had so long to get it right.
All in all not great at the moment, 5/10 needs work lots of work, and that’s down to the modders again to put right what Giants should be doing.
If you can wait till next year, then do so, you’ll save yourself a lot of hassle.
